South Bay First Thursdays
First Thursdays is a monthly dinner series for people in the non-profit, for-profit, and government sectors interested in Asian American & Pacific Islander (AA&PI) community issues and service opportunities. Our mission is to foster a sense of community and understanding through educational events, focusing on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.

South Bay First Thursdays
  About Us

First Thursdays is the South Bay spin-off of the successful Third Thursdays organization started in November 2003, with the first event in January 2004. Like Third Thursdays, First Thursdays (FT) is focused on serving young Asian and Pacific Islanders (API) interested in supporting community activities and organizations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Consisting of early-to-mid career professionals from the nonprofit, corporate, and government sectors. FT provides a forum for networking, shared learning among peers, and community service opportunities. Towards this effort FT organizes a monthly dinner to discuss an issue or event important to the API community. Panelists with knowledge of the topic are brought in to give audience members expert opinions. A brief question and answer period follows. After the panel, audience members usually break-out into small groups to discuss the issue further.

First Thursdays is fiscally sponsored by Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI).
